Privacy Policy

The short version

You submit a video. We analyze it. We send you the report. We delete the video. We do not sell your data, we do not use your video for training, and we do not share it with anyone.

What we collect

When you submit a video for analysis, we collect:

• Your name and email address so we can deliver your report.
• Your video (uploaded file or URL) for analysis.
• Speech type (presentation, sales call, etc.) to calibrate the analysis.
• Optional notes you provide about what you want feedback on.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.

How we process your video

Your video is sent to a third-party processing service for multimodal analysis. The service watches the video, analyzes facial expressions, vocal patterns, body language, and speech content, then returns the analysis results. The video is not stored by the processing service beyond the time needed to complete the analysis.

We do not use your video to train models. Your video is processed once for your analysis and that is it.

Videos are deleted from our systems within 48 hours of analysis completion. Analysis reports (text only, no video) are retained so you can access them.

How we use your data

• Video: Analyzed, then deleted within 48 hours.
• Name and email: Used to deliver your report and communicate about your analysis. If you opt into the newsletter, used for periodic updates.
• Analysis results: Stored so you can access your report. We may use anonymized, aggregated statistics (e.g., "average confidence score across all analyses") to improve the product. Individual results are never shared.

Who we share data with

We share data only with services necessary to operate ReadRoom:

• Video processing service: Receives your video for analysis. Does not retain it.
• Email service: Receives your email address to deliver reports and newsletters.
• Hosting provider: Standard web hosting infrastructure.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not share your video or analysis results with other users, companies, or advertisers.

Cookies

ReadRoom uses minimal cookies. We use localStorage to back up form submissions in your browser. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your data (right to be forgotten).
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Object to processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Data retention

• Videos: Deleted within 48 hours of analysis.
• Analysis reports: Retained until you request deletion.
• Account data (name, email): Retained until you request deletion or unsubscribe.
• Newsletter subscriptions: Until you unsubscribe.

Children

ReadRoom is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. For material changes that affect how we handle your video data, we will notify you by email.
